I started this violin right after<\/span> the summer holidays, inspired by the previous violin that was sold after only a few weeks. I came up with a light and resonant top in Italian Alpine spruce, and for the back, sides and body I chose well-seasoned European flamed maple. The maple is actually from the same tree trunk as my newest cello<\/a> . <\/p>\n

This violin is made on my own personal von der Lippe model, perfected over more than thirteen years. All the experience I have gained from making over seventy-five instruments has been fused into this violin. My goal has always been to create a violin that has a rich, warm and projecting sound, and that gives you as a musician the opportunity to express your personality. <\/span> Since we live in a modern era, I have used Corene fingerboard (a sustainable alternative to ebony) and Knilling Planetary pegs. Forget pegs that lose their grip or chatter. That time is over.<\/span><\/p>\n

On later occasions I have compared the violin with the older Italian, where von der Lippe’s instrument carries better and stronger than the Italian, -in a blind test with several musicians present. The violin projects the sound in a way that fills the room without being perceived as strenuous. It has a rich and warm, rich sound in all registers, at the same time as it is easy to play and articulate. It mixes well both in chamber music and in orchestra. The process of building your own violin is in itself very exciting, and is experienced exclusively positively thanks to Jacob’s reliability and pleasant service attitude. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/blockquote>
