Sustainable Ipê bows from John Horst – Brazil
Founded in 1951, Horst John became a pioneer when they started bow production twenty years later. The wood is naturally dried, and their wood stock is approved by the Brazilian environmental authorities. At a time when access to pernambuco is becoming increasingly difficult, it is important that the industry takes environmental considerations seriously. For that reason, it is with great pleasure that for the first time in Scandinavia I can offer bows made of Ipê ( Tabebuia alba ) also known as Brazilian walnut. This is not an endangered species of tree, and is an excellent alternative to the traditionally used pernambuco.
A wide range of bows is available for trials at any time. The bows can be sent by Posten all over Norway for a non-binding trial performance.
